Hey everyone. I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome. I have been messing up the Big Bob thread, and didn't want to do any more damage, so I decided to start my own thread. Very Happy

I'm a Motorsports Photographer and someone said you guys like pictures. Here is a little Crash sequence I shot recently. Enjoy.

You can see the fuel coming out from under the car.

He is starting to go sidways here.

At this point he is doing over 50 mph.

Here is where it goes bad.

IS THAT DAVE KOMMEL
the photographer that doesnt even flintch in the red shirt... Shocked
man hes been to too many National Events to know not to duck.

nice sequence Roger,...the fuel thing is common on a lot
of high power cars when the fuel cell gets filled a inch or two
to high or much,..I dont think thats what caused the wreck,..it was more tire shake that took the car loose and hard right,..just my opinion.

nice photos Roger,..hope my car makes the magazines.. Wink

Vic, the talk at the track the next day was that liquid got under the tire. I personally thought that something broke. The car made a Fast, Violent turn.

Laughing Laughing Laughing Yes, that him. He has been shooting since before I was born. Guy has nerves of steel....... Or the slowest reflexes I have ever seen. Wink

I have to agree with Vic on this one. I've seen it many, many times .. fuel coming out of the vent tube. When it comes out like that it's in the middle of the car and should not affect the tires one bit. This may be due to breakage, tire shake, lack of experience or ???

Great coverage of a nasty incident Roger.
