2018 Draglist Nationals

I'm formulating travel, time and lodging. I'll get there Friday, July the 13th and take off back to Houston Sunday the 15th.
I could drive there and back for much less than airline tickets and car rentals...1138 miles to Pittsburgh, 28 hours one-way.
Round-trip on Southwest Airlines looks like a 600-buck minimum, train is about 2/3rds that and takes 42 hours, bus is close to that time and less expensive but uncomfortable and unpredictable. Maybe I could hitch-hike? Not!
I'll see about getting the little KIA roadworthy for that trip! Best, WC1

Greeting DLN family!!

Sorry I haven't been on for awhile. So much happening here. I've contacted the Frank Lloyd Wright homes for tours of Fallingwater and Duncan home which are 40 mins apart. I'm thinking we should do this outing on Friday 13th. The tour at Fallingwater last One hour and then about another hour to walk the grounds and see waterfall for $30.00 ea. Polymath Park (Duncan home) there are 3 homes to tour here, about 2 hrs.for $24.00. Brady's resturant is between the homes for lunch. I talked with resverations today and they recommended we book asap as this is one of their busiest months.

I'm thinking Thursday night could be our social night,just sitting around and talking.

Depending on what time people are arriving on Thursday 12th we could make a trip to the flight 93 memorial ( free) about one hr. from Hotel!! Saturday 14th is RACE DAY!!!!!!!

Which tour would everyone like to go on? I'll also look for other activities/things to do in area.
Again.I'm sorry for being so late making plans for our reunion.

We would be interested in all of them, but I'd especially like to see Fallingwater. The restaurant sounds great, too.

Just found out today that we will likely be hitting the DLNs from the West, as we return from Denise's class reunion in Colorado. bp
