Alex Chilton

I tend to take artists of indescribable brilliance, scope and depth such as Alex Chilton for granted. I just don't realize how precious their gifts are until they are gone. There are still a few that I could pay homage to, but I'm always too busy out there blazing my own trails to concern myself with what they are doing...yet here I am doing this. Alex would have invited me to jam with his band. He'd come over and hang out and we'd have dialogue. If I ever would have made it to the Big-Time, I'd have wanted to have done it like Alex Chilton. He was the coolest of them all and a genuinely down-to-earth guy at the same time. Rest in peace, Alex. WC1

Thanks, John. Unfortunately, someone I had heard of, but knew almost nothing about. Thanks for filling us in. bp
