Don't be in a big hurry. Just look around and decide what you really want to accomplish with the car.

Then with that goal in mind, start gathering parts. I see guys time and time again, getting stuff, then going "Oh, I don't need this now because I am now doing this!" That is just crazy. I mean plans can change a little, but plan it out and only do it once. Maybe go hang out with somebody who is running fast with the VRA combo. JMO

For instance, if you bought a 526 Hemi shortblock for a good deal. But, out where you are, you are going with the 20-gal VRA pump rule. Now you are trying to fill a big hole with a little pump. Not a good plan, and will be hard on parts. Back here, we would run the 1471, and put a big pump on it, then just run it soft.

Go with a smaller cu in, spin it higher {more rpm = more fuel} and be able to fill the cyl with the smaller pump.

As far as the chassis, just look for a good chassis at a good price. It is going to be all the same, so you wouldn't be backing up using it. Remember, the VRA has a short overhang on the bodys though. So plan on some movement in the front porch area. :)

You probably know all this stuff. I am just saying, don't jump just to jump!

I hope it works out. I think this Nostalgia deal is the coolest thing happening. 8)

Short front end is the deal i want, and i was thinking of going
with a 421 ci or 451 cube, i wonder would a short deck
(.100 or.250) block
say from a , A/fueler work???, i know i would need to change
pistons to eqaul out the volumes in the cylinders.
i can get theses dime a dozen, nfca run a set back blower but
no further back than the leading edge of the rear motorplate,
there is lots of info i still need to gather, and i have been
surfing the sites for more input. it looks like i would need
to come up with about another $20 g`s to do this right.
stuff like this just makes me sick and drives me nuts, and i think to
myself what a waist of great inthusiasm and talant (me) just sitting
here with nothing to do and no way to do it
 .....lmao..sob.....sob  ..lol.
is it christmas yet...
