The pic that Shane posted looks a lot like Barry Setzer's car ....perhaps with Pat Foster at the helm??8)

Great pics, Vic. I thought that the Pro Comp class started in 1974 with Veney and Armstrong meeting in the final at Pomona, but my memory might be off! The Veney car was injected I thought... but I can't fight against photos! bp

Those white posts sure would inspire me to stay in the groove on that track... :shock:

Taking another long, studious look at it, there might be a guardrail on the trackside of those posts...but still... :evil:

The #2 Veney Vega bbc stack injected on 40-70% nitro ran the 73 season
til torwards the end of that year then they put the blower motor in it, also
a bbc,. and graphed on the 74 nose and ran it in 74 and into the newly formed Pro Comp class,..
Remember the 1973, and the 1974 Veney Vega are the same chassis and body,...same car,..
if I had my lap top there was a great article from a magazine that gave dates and et times,..I will post that up when,..ummm..if I get my lap top back.

Looks like other arrangments were made for Joe Sanutti being here
in the p[ortland area to pick up a car and also letter the Veneys Vega..
AINT GONNA HAPPEN,....chit :evil: :evil: :evil:

So I waiting to here back from Nat Quick who rembers the car well,.
he is going to give me an estimate,..and I will see if I can afford him
I will find out tomorow on how much $$$$$$$$

so other than that,..Im painting the car red and clear coating it ASAP
Guees everthing will have to get letterd in enamal over the clear coat.

Hmmmmmmmmmm....arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggg

A/FC injected nitro to running BB/FC (ProComp)...great pics too.

They mention Veneys Vega #3 in there which is the 1975 car
