The tower announcer was the guy who was supposed to watch our runs. So when I went to the tower to get my paperwork he said in a real serious voice, "that 2nd run sure was entertaining for us watching. From 1/2 track on the car was really spinning and you crossed the finish line still sliding sideways. I have a hi-powered pair of binoculars I watch these runs with, your tire tracks were something to see."
At this point, he hasn't smiled or anything and I think he is going to yell at me for not lifting!!!
He said you sure are smooth in that car, most guys would have called it quits, but I watched you all day in the car and you look like you really have a good groove thing working between you and the car. Thanks again for the exciting performance.
I took a big breath of relief,,,

and told him the car had been acting a little naughty all year but we were working on the cure. That I thought after the 1st run we had it.
He said the Shake in the 2nd one was pretty violent. I said, "Yeah, we tried hopping it up, and it didn't like it much!"
He grinned and handed over the paperwork and come back and run here anytime!
