Thanks guys. If you go to the classic funny car board. Keith from the bits and pieces funnycar team has written a barn burner of a story over there.

Thanks BP, for all you do for me!

The tower announcer was the guy who was supposed to watch our runs. So when I went to the tower to get my paperwork he said in a real serious voice, "that 2nd run sure was entertaining for us watching. From 1/2 track on the car was really spinning and you crossed the finish line still sliding sideways. I have a hi-powered pair of binoculars I watch these runs with, your tire tracks were something to see."

At this point, he hasn't smiled or anything and I think he is going to yell at me for not lifting!!!

He said you sure are smooth in that car, most guys would have called it quits, but I watched you all day in the car and you look like you really have a good groove thing working between you and the car. Thanks again for the exciting performance. 8)

I took a big breath of relief,,, and told him the car had been acting a little naughty all year but we were working on the cure. That I thought after the 1st run we had it.

He said the Shake in the 2nd one was pretty violent. I said, "Yeah, we tried hopping it up, and it didn't like it much!"

He grinned and handed over the paperwork and come back and run here anytime! 8) :D :D

That was our first violent shake, bent and broke a number of things. On the next 196 MPH pass, no chutes. I haven't decided yet whether the mech is broken or something binding from the shake.

The last run agian no chutes we thought we got it back in the pits, so I expected it and hit them manually.

After the run when I didn't get them out, the guys said, "So long a shut down you didn't need the chutes???" I said, "NOT EXACTLY!"

Remember Randy, all you have to do to get the chutes to work is release em in the shop, or in the trailer. Never fails.   Or just pull sthe safety pins and go eat supper, come back, presto, they are on the shop floor,....

Gator I was caught off guard on the next pass. We looked everything over in the pits. Well, I guess not "EVERYTHING" huh. I really never gave a thought to inspecting the parachute stuff.

I am not sure if the air solenoid windings got shook and now don't give it a good push, or if an air line is pinched somewhere causing this. We found the lever was rubbing on the tin after the shake. Fixed that and thought it was cured, it seemed fine in the pits.

I was ready for it the 2nd time, when it didn't come out I just reached over and hit it myself.

Thanks for getting my back buddy!! 8)
