I got up this morning and went to the race shop. We finished a couple of things and I re-painted the chassis today. It came out pretty nice. We started to strip it, I advised Scott it would be much nicer if it was media blasted. He agreed, but then let Pappy talk him into trying the stripper first. It ended up getting media blasted. There are just too many nooks and crannys to get it all prepped without blasting it.

Anyway, the Massey chassis is painted, and we will start putting it back together now. I have some paintwork to do on the rear tail section of the body, and I am going to spray a few areas around on the main body so whomever buys the 23T car will have a real nice piece to go racing with.

Once we get this car done and ready to race, I will get to work on the new ride, getting it ready to race. The other night we cheated a bit. We agreed to not work on the new car untill the old car was back together and ready to sell. We relocated the steering box and changed the angle on the column so the steering wheel was in the place I wanted it to be. Then we removed the fuel tank, and started measuring to get the new fuel tank and dry sump tank built. 8)

The new car is what is known as a semi-lay down style chassis. I am quite a bit more layed back than I was in our 23T chassis. This makes for a lower roof line and a lower cage height also. The car was built by T&C Chassis out of Alabama. It is said to be a copy of a Murph McKinney car. It has some nice touches that I think will make it a good car to race with. 8)

I plan on it. It will mostly depend on how testing goes for us. It is something we are planning on being at though. 8)
