Just when you think your going to be living your dream,..it crumbles to the ground.... :x

So I put together a great deal for travel expenses and fuel and also to purchase a newer dodge truck, well last friday the crdit union says you need $2400 more to finish the deal,..well the deadline on the truck was to be tomorrow, and I am not going to make the deadline, and the truck gets sold to someone else.
So unless I find another deal in the next 2 weeks,..I will not be making the east coast / midwest tour.

I will try overcome the delimas of the truck deal and try and go have some fun at this coming weekends Season Opener at Woodburn Dragstrip.
Hoping for a 7 something, and then I will take a hard look and consideration of my future with the Veneys Vega,.....

Keep ya posted if anything happens positively. Thanks everyone for all the encouragement, and well wishes.

I hope something gets worked out soon, Vic. That car is definitely something special and it deserves to be shown and raced. I understand you must have a good transportation system...it's necessary. It's just sad when it's something other than the race car that hangs up the deal. Good luck on getting it done. WC1

Woodburn Season Opener Report

Wow what a wild weekend ,.. The floppers and drag cars were plenty, I was illin on Saturday.
I had 2 straight runs out of 5 which bested a 8.20@162 and a 8.34@161 after a wheelie gone astray, the other 3 runs ,.well
the Injected flopper lived up to its wild expectations,..big wheelies going left,,..big wheelies going right, a little bronc riding on one run
I swear all for wheels were off the ground,....Big burnouts,..the crowd was absolutly outstanding and cheered everytime up the return road,..sold close to 20 t shirts, and signed and handed out over 300 hero cards, I dont have any pics as yet, but found this one video
from the first run on Saturday on youtube,.....After hard thinking and looking the car over ,I determind the car is fine and the nut behind the wheel is flinching the wheel when I am releasing the t-brake,..problem solved,..well most the time...Had a good time.
I want to thank Kieth Mcurdy for helping me out, and Jerry, Scotty, Dick Pruitt, and Jim and Tina Peters for towing me up to the line
for my final pass after Kieth had to split. Hopefully the otrher vids and pics will surface soon,..the crowd really really dug the excitement
and could not give a sh*t about the 8.20 or slower runs,..ITS ALIVE !!!!!!!!

WOW! what a ride.I bet that put your heart in your mouth.I've done that a few times too.
I was given a tip on staging with a caah with a spool. As you are coming forward to stage, let go of the steering wheel to let it centre itself.I was steering into the beams and loading the chassis,so when when I launched, the chassis would flex and steer the caah.
