In the interests of keeping the weight on the car down
I have a light weight one piece front end which has the front bumper molded in along with the headlight buckets
I do have a fibre glass bumper for the rear but was thinking I dont want to sacrifice the weight saving by putting some heavy old brackets on there and was thinking about attaching it with some Epoxy Adhesive question is its going to have to adhere to metal as well is there anything out there that could do the job once its on i will mold the glass fibre so that its flush
any ideas.

Make lightweight brackets for your rear bumper... that's what we did.

I am with Eric on this. Mount the bumper so it is removable. Fiberglass and metal heat anc contract at different rates. The fiberglass will always be trying to separate from the metal.

my concern was the bumper is wafer thin and I was thinking that air getting behind it would rip it through the Brackets

Fab your mounting plate, the one on the inside of the bumper,,,,where the bracket bolts on,,,,so that is spreads the mounting load as wide an area as possible. That will solve that problem.
