Billy Williams passed away yesterday at the age of 63. Billy was seriously hurt in a alky funny car accident at Rockingham in 2002. He has been hospitalized since the accident with severe head injuries. Billy started racing in Pro Comp on the west coast and drove alky dragsters, alky funny cars and top fuel for 2 years. God speed and goodbye my friend, the suffering is over.

Truly one of the top handful of alcohol stars from the Pro Comp days. At times, Billy was as tough as Armstrong, Veney, Anderson, or Manzo. RIP, Billy. bp

Billy was definately an innovator. A lot of his success could be attributed to trying new things that everyone else thought were crazy.

I was lucky to get to know him a few years before his accident. Dad and I helped him rebuild the electronics on his dyno after he moved it back from the west coast - I ended up rewriting several parts of the dyno software and wrote new software for the flow bench he was building. He was always thinking outside the box.

The hurting's finally over for Billy - rest in peace.

Billy was a hell of a racer. If it had a steering wheel he could drive it.
His passing is sad but his situation since the accident was as well.
God bless.
