Just saw this on my homepage news. Sad deal. Back before they put the new 4 lane bypass in, we went through Aplington & Parkersburg on our trips out to Iowa to see my Mom & Cheryl's folks. Parkersburg's football field is on the west edge of town. I remember they have a sign along the road that lists the teams winning record year by year. Who'd think something like this would happen in small town Iowa. Seems no place is immune from violence any more.

That's a real tragedy. It's the best folks that are taken from us. Prayers and thoughts to Ed's family and all who were impacted by this. WC1
