Chicago Bears defensive end, Gaines Adams, 26, died Sunday morning. The former Clemson star was the 4th draft pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2007 and was traded to the Bears this season.
Adams was taken to the Emergency Room at Self Regional in Greenwood, County Coroner James T. Coursey said.
In 15 games, five games with Tampa Bay and 10 with Chicago, Adams had 17 tackles and one sack.
There are no reports as of yet detailing the cause of his death.
