Got this note from my friend Janice Williams Gammil today. Janice was married to Texas funny car racer Jim Harrison before getting hitched to my Navy pal Steve Gammill.
Hi Bill! I wanted to let you know that Bruce Burkhardt passed away this week. He has been a friend of mine & ex Hubby for over 40 years. He drove the Banzai for us & was the announcer at Houston Drag Strip when it was off the Gulf Fwy. in Dickinson during the 70/80s. And I turned him on to you site & his wife said he stayed logged on for days enjoying all the old pics. Thanks for all you do for all the OLD drag racers...
