Hey folks, being that I'm sort of busy this Summer recording with Big Stick (my music thing), I'll be occasionally featuring guest journalists and racing biz peeps providing stories and editorials on my blog space (some will be featured anonymously, so they don't risk losing their jobs, while other authors' names will be disclosed)... Today's guest is award winning drag racing journalist (and racer) Jeanne Linke. She'll recap the action from the recent ".90 NATIONALS" at Numidia Dragway... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

Today's blog... NUMIDIA DRAGWAY KICKS OFF .90 NATIONALS & AWARDS RACERS WITH HUGE PAYOUTS
http://www.stripsmarts.com/index.php?op ... &Itemid=27

With lots of Summer Big Stick recording sessions taking my time, I'll be turning over some of my daily blog's journalism duties into the hands of other accomplished drag racing writers and personalities-- I assure you that those scribes making guest appearances on my blog will keep it all interesting and well worth reading, like today's guest, award winning writer and racer Jeanne Linke... I appreciate all the folks in the drag racing community who've come out of the woodwork to volunteer their efforts to keep my blog a daily enjoyment for so many drag racers and fans... Thanks...

Yours truly, slaving in the stands, making those final round notes to bring to my loyal and well appreciated readership.

My longtime friend, E'Town's Michelle Marchese brought a cyber piece of press to my attention that I pass on to my readers... It's an article written by Susan Wade for the COMPETITION PLUS cyber zine... Some of you probably remember that Susan Wade wrote about me awhile back, giving me props, and telling her readers about my "tell it like it is" approach to drag racing journalism... It's sort of a mutual admiration kind of thing between Susan and I, we both respect each others writing and "gettin' to the truth" journalism chops... Susan's new article at COMPETITION PLUS, titled "ENGLISHTOWN WELCOMES EPPING'S PRESENCE ON TOUR" makes it clear that the recently announced addition of an NHRA event to the New England strip is in no way an indication of E'Town losing its Supernationals race, or in no way a confirmation of the completely bogus rumors of E'Town's demise-- Quite the opposite, as per E'Town's own David Napp and NHRA's Graham Light, Old Bridge Township Raceway Park has no plans to close its doors, or cease to host its incredibly successful NHRA Supernationals event... Napp attributes the ridiculous false rumors and lies, to the seedier side of the drag racing internet, which I completely agree with... Raceway Park is here to stay!!... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

Today's blog... SUSAN WADES TELLS THE E-TOWN TRUTH!!...
http://www.stripsmarts.com/index.php?op ... &Itemid=27

I recommend reading Susan Wade's excellent piece at COMPETITION PLUS so that you'll be enlightened to the fact that the false rumors of E'Town's demise are nothing more than blowhard banter from the drag racing internet's seedier side... I elaborate and provide a direct link to Susan Wade's article on my blog page...

Several years ago I personally witnessed Del Worsham endure a serious Funny Car fire at E'Town's Supernationals event, then he resiliently recovered and went on to drag racing greatness-- I always knew Del had the proverbial "right stuff"... Now it appears ESPN's ESPY awards will also recognize his drag racing skills, talent and potent perseverance... I discuss in my ultra-popular alter-ego driven Drag Racing Underground "strip smarts" sanctioned blog... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

Today is "FEEDBACK FRIDAY", meaning I deal with emails that my assistant Stephanie and I receive from readers regarding my most recent blogs... My blog about big brother wanting to regulate our soda consumption, whether it be at the drag strip or anywhere else, resulted in the most feedback of any other issue this week... Racers, housewives, diabetics and people from all walks of life had something to say... The issue of soft drinks at the drags riles up my loyal readership big time... My highly intelligent and health conscientious audience speaks out and makes for some genuinely educational and informative reading... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

When you think of E'Town Raceway Park, the first thing that comes to mind is drag racing... However, today is the "ROCK THE RACEWAY MUSIC FESTIVAL" featuring no less than 10 bands, including Xero Gravity, Sleepy Hollow and Cycle of Pain featuring John Deservio of Black Label Society-- As some of you know, we (Big Stick) have Johnny Kelly playing guest drums on our upcoming LP release, and Johnny's played with Black Label Society-- So I know for a fact that any musician with the Black Label Society stamp of approval has serious chops... The event starts at 4pm and runs until midnight... All the details are discussed in my blog... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

Due to "Mother Nature's" wrath, last night's postponed E'Town Summer Motorsports & Monster Truck Spectacular is now rescheduled for Saturday, Sept 15th, to be run in conjunction with the U.S. Diesel Truckin' Nationals & Motorsports Spectacular... I also acknowledge guitarist Brian May's birthday... That's all in today's ultra-popular alter-ego driven "strip smarts" sanctioned drag racing blog... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

Best of Birthday Wishes to old friend Brian May (of Queen fame). Here's a photo of Brian with us (Big Stick) from several years back in CREEM magazine. We got together with him to commemorate our "Freddie & Me" release, a song we recorded to celebrate the life of the late Freddie Mercury. Fortunately we all had the opportunity to spend some quality time with each other after Freddie passed away. Helped make a rough time seem a little more comforting. Brian May is an awful swell bloke with an incredible talent for guitar duties...

Every once in a while an extremely serious news story breaks that's so horrific it trumps any and all drag racing related content that I could possibly write about... The Colorado movie theater bloodbath definitely qualifies as being that kind of story... I discuss this sick incident, while not pulling any punches and completely "telling it like it is" in today's edition of my blog... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
