I knew Kat... We ran several shared events, she would always wave and smile like crazy when we passed each other in the pits. She was always in a good mood, and took time to talk w/ the kids, of course the kids adored her !! She was a kind soul, missed by all who knew her

So preventable too... A wooden crate w/ a motorcycle battery at the finishline, to operate the timing lights, I mean really ?? The battery hit her right in the helmet, killing her instantlyWhat a shame.
