We were trying to decide, the slick looked like it wasn't flat on the ground. I blew the photo up and here it it. The tire is flat across the track surface.

Randy, it looks like the camera caught the tire at the instant it when it goes from flat on the ground, to when the tire is beginning to stand up. As you can see, the edge of the tire is off the ground. Partly due to the wrinkle of the sidewall, it looks like it is trying to maintain footprint but tire growth is taking over at this point, pretty unique shot I'd say. It's right at that point where if it did not stand up, it would spin. I believe when it starts to stand up, then finally does, the tire sidewall straightens back out some and it re-plants the center of the tire and away you go up on the tire!! JMO. Like I said, interesting shot!! :D 8) At this point I think tire growth and vehicle weight are planting the tire pretty hard looks like.

Someting caught my eye, the good one. What happened to the "M/T" lettering in the second photo. I wish I had a picture from that angle of my own deal.

Nope, I don't agree. It's gone. Maybe it was done in the photo blowing up process, but it is gone.
