That crazy British dude sure could play the drums. In the books I read, the two guys were always determined that Jimi was not going to blow them off the stage so they redoubled their efforts to kick ass. As a result, the trio was the hottest band at the time. RIP, Mitch. bp
In my opinion, next to Ringo Starr, (I have to mention Nick Mason, who I believe was just as good) he was the most expressive and creative drummer of the 1960s. I'm sorry to see him go. He was truly great. Rest in Peace, Mitch, and thanks for so many thrilling moments. WC1
