Ean was a world-class musician and a great person and loyal friend to all who knew him. It's never easy to join a band as a replacement...I have been in his shoes and it's a tough gig even at the local/regional level I play at. He joined the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame band Lynyrd Skynyrd as the replacement for the original bassist, Leon Wilkerson, who died in 2001. He soon established himself as a rock-solid player and rhythym section man. To go at 48 seems like you got cheated, but in his life Ean climbed to the mountaintop. Rest in peace and God Bless.
