10/24/2009,..Ken Veney was just given the tractor pulling lifetime achievement award last night in Indianapolis.

Saw this last night on the NHRA site. It's the '74 version of Veney's Vega in a picture that shows 2 cars from Comp Eliminator at Pomona, a dragster and the Vega FC. Nice shot with the snow-capped mountains in the background.

Yep, that is the 73/74 Veneys ran in 1974 great car,..Darrell Conrad
owns it and has been near restored for 5 years but not done yet.

On another Note,...
Look out for the March 2010 issue of Drag Racer Magazine, it
will have coverage of the 2009 CHRR , and at minimum pictures
of my Veneys Vega in it,..the magazine comes out the middle of December .

The guy in the other lane in the photo above is Dick Titsworth out of Ohio.
He was one bad TA/FC. Did a lot of winning in NHRA Div. 3.
