Got a call this afternoon from a friend of mine "Chad". He said his brother in law Dan (41) went out to dinner last night and collapsed at the restaurant. He died of an apparent heart attack. He asked if I would be a paul bearer. 1 year older than Cheryl's brother who died of a heart attack about 15 years ago.
Anything can happen at any time. Sad situation.

Headed to Dan's funeral this morning. It's a cold day today 9.1°f.

Wow, Long day. After the funeral I was asked to move the trailer from the garage to the church soz' they could load the empty boxes in it from the food pantry. Today/tonight was the day the Northern Illinois Food Bank gave out food to the needy. So, I hung around and helped out with that. Jenni & J.D. were there so I could keep an eye on Jenni (Justin Case).

Then I got home and found an email from my Aunt back in Iowa. My Uncle is in the hospital and is not doing well at all. In her words (He is on God's time now - maybe today or maybe in the next few days).

I'm glad I stayed for the food pantry deal. It was the bright spot in an otherwise sad day.
