Delaney was one of a kind. I have a picture of EC playing with his band (arguably the best band anywhere at that time), which later became EC's band after Leon Russell took them on a short-lived hell-raising stint as Mad Dogs And Englishmen. It was a party on wheels for about 7 years. Delaney's music always appealed to me because it was just so down-to-earth and honest...no gimmicks, no frills, just straight from the heart. From what I heard through the grapevine, he was that way in person as well...a calming and realistic influence on the most pretentious and arrogant rock stars of that era. Our generation of rockers is slowly dwindling. This was one of the brightest of them all. Thanks for the link, Pete. Vaya Con Dios, Delaney. WC1
