Doug, I like it all except I would run #10 from the tank to the pump. Make sure you have a #6 or #8 vent for the tank also. I would run a #10 all the way forward so you only have to plumb it {1} time. I realize that the regulator has alot smaller orifiaces, but fuel volume is the key to HP.
In all my cars, {this doesn't mean it is correct, it is just my way of doing it} I plumb it, tank-fuel filter {large free flowing one}-pump at the rear of the car. Then the #10 line to the front of the car to a regulator. Then from the regulator to the carb. Since I use race gas only, I filter the fuel going into the tank. I know that is letting the filter do nothing, but better safe than sorry is my opinion.
If you have a by-pass on the pump, you can just loop it back to the tank if possible, 2nd choice would be to the inlet of the filter. Then the filter will remove any aeration in the fuel going back to pump.
My comment to use a standard kit, is based along Hillbilly's comment about being to rich. If you use the standard kit and jets, it will work just fine and have the correct A/F ratio as sold to you.
Can you go faster with some different settings, sure. I would just leave it alone untill everything else is sorted out. When the Ya-hoo factor drops off then play with fuel pressure and jet sizing. JMO
Doug,
I think the stuff Mike has ( including the cell ) are good.
A small kit will work well, be consistent and perk you up nicely.
Nitrous Supply ( the original NOS people), will sell you whatever else you need, and guide you straight.
